These stimulate two memroies for me, one when I went to go see "The Little Prince the Opera" during a 5th grade field trip in LA, second- a little theater in North Carolina around Chapel Hill where I saw a strange version of "Uncle Tom's Cabin."

High praise!

It must have been a very strange version of Uncle Tom's Cabin, indeed.

No costumes for you and Mark? :(

Would love to see those plays some time.

My favorite Lebanese eatery in Philly became Armenian, which made me melancholy for a second until I started sampling the Armenian menu – there’s other Lebanese places here of course. But we don’t have Armenian poetry readings in Philly.

On to the pressing matter of where to get Mexican food around you, my research library tells me the 600 block of Valley Ave in Solano Beach is where it’s at. Not a walk-in Mercado like in LA but old sit down places and corner groceries.

Nope, no costumes. It was kind of hot. Maybe next time. I'm sure Mark and I would have made a different impression if we'd been dressed as angels.

I'll check out the 600 block of Solano Beach.

Mexican farm workers settled there in the 40s.

You'd be the embodiment of the city if you were The Angels.

(Oh, it was actually the "Burning Coal Theatre Company" in Raleigh.)
