We got our ballots in the mail today.

I want to get my hair cut shorter into some kind of bob. But I don't want to look like Paris Hilton or Posh Spice, and I don't want to look like I work for CNN. I need something a little asymmetrical, a little inverted with the right amount of layers and razored ends, and maybe longish side bangs.

But it can't require blow drying to look good.

And where to get it cut? I haven't gotten an actual, styled haircut since I lived in DC. Nope, it's been Supercuts all the way. Big decisions.

If you find the inverted bob that requires no blowdrying, let me know. I think I've been trying to get that haircut for, like, fifteen years.

Just a warning -- I've got a similar cut (though not all that asymmetrical) and, while sometimes I get lucky and it looks passable when I don't blow-dry it, it looks much better when I do. That might be something about my hair type though -- when it dries naturally it's kind of wavy, when I blow-dry it falls straight.

All the same I really like the shorter cut. Yay bobs.

Thanks for the haircut advice and support! I bet an unblowdried inverted bob will look really awesome after being under a bicycle helmet during my morning commute, but I'm going to get one anyway.
