Spent a lovely day in Julian with Mark--I'll post pictures tomorrow. I saw various kinds of hawk, quail, and a deer. I love quail.

Can quail fly? I think not, or else they fly like chickens. I will look into this tomorrow.

So this Mark guy--whoever he is--did he take you out for some of Julian's famous apple pie? Or is he the kind of guy that would go with you to Julian but not take you out for pie?

Quail- of course they fly! Not like chickens, like regular birds. However, in brush they prefer to walk.
