This weekend I made
Ajlouk Qura'a (Mashed-Zucchini Salad)
Baba Ghanoush
Hummus (with edamame--it was green, but it was good)
Borani Esfanaj (Persian Spinach and Yogurt Dip)
Tabbouleh (with Quinoa)
Fatoush salad
Rosemary-Scented Flatbread with Black Grapes
Gingerbread with blueberries--something my aunt used to make. Except I used butter instead of vegetable shortning and half milk half buttermilk instead of all buttermilk.

I wish I could...I suppose baked goods travel well, but the gingerbread is almost gone...
mmm... i'm really into that baba ghanoush.
my great-grandmother used to tell me about driving down to florida with her family when she was a child (she was born in 1904) and they would stop along the way and buy homemade gingerbread and fresh squeezed orange juice. (i guess they went by train? i remember railways)
i love gingerbread. eat some for me :)
